Running out of data mid-trip: how to top up your eSIM
JetSimly · 2026-10-11
You can add data or days to the same JetSimly eSIM without scanning a new QR code. The one condition is to do it before the plan ends: an eSIM whose plan has expired can't be topped up.
How to do it
- Open the eSIM page link in your order email.
- Choose how much you want to add.
- Pay. The top-up is loaded onto your eSIM with nothing to reinstall.
It costs less than buying a new eSIM for the same period.
What you can add
- Daily (unlimited) plans: you add days. When the daily allowance runs out the connection isn't cut, it slows to the speed shown on the product page.
- Fixed-data plans: you add data or days; your eSIM page shows the options.
You can't switch between the two types: a fixed-data plan can't be topped up with a daily plan, or the other way round.
Before the plan runs out
The plan clock starts the first time you connect to a network at your destination. Switching the line off on your phone doesn't stop it. You can still top up an eSIM that is out of data but not out of time; the only case where nothing can be added is when the plan's time has run out.
Not every plan can be extended
Look for the "Extendable" badge on the product page. Without it, the plan can't be extended and you'd need a new eSIM, so it's worth checking before you buy.
