What happens if you delete an eSIM?
JetSimly · 2026-10-11
Short answer: No, it's gone for good. If you delete a JetSimly eSIM from your phone, we can't bring it back: each eSIM installs on one device, once. If you only want to pause the line, don't delete it, turn it off in your phone's settings.
What deleting does
Deleting removes the eSIM profile from your phone. The installation code is single-use: the same eSIM can't be installed again, on that phone or on any other. Neither we nor the network operator can reissue it. Any data left on the plan stays on the server, but you can't reach it.
Apple's support page says that if you delete an eSIM by accident, you should get the eSIM details from your carrier and add the line again by hand. With some carrier eSIMs that works. With JetSimly eSIMs it doesn't, because the installation code can only be used once.
What turning it off does
When you turn the line off, it stops working but the profile stays on your phone. You can turn it back on whenever you like.
Note that turning it off doesn't pause the plan. The plan runs from the moment you first connect and ends when its time is up. Keeping the line switched off doesn't change that.
- iPhone: Settings → Cellular → tap your JetSimly line → turn off "Turn On This Line". The menu name can differ slightly between iOS versions.
- Samsung (and most Android phones): Settings → Connections → SIM manager → switch the eSIM toggle off. On some models the menu is called "SIM card manager".

Schematic illustration. Menu names on your phone may differ by version.
The same menus also have a "Delete eSIM" button on iPhone (called "Remove Cellular Plan" on some iOS versions) and "Remove / Delete eSIM" on Android. Don't tap those.

Ways it gets deleted without you meaning to
- Factory reset. A reset deletes the eSIM from the phone and it can't be added back; the remaining data is lost with it. If you need to reset your phone, write to [email protected] first and we'll look at the options together.
- The wrong button. Removing the plan instead of switching the line off.
- Changing phones. An eSIM doesn't move to a new phone. To use JetSimly on a new phone you need a separate plan.
If the plan has already ended
An expired plan shows up on your phone as finished. Deleting it at that point loses you nothing. But you can't add data to an expired eSIM; if you want to add data or days, do it before the plan runs out.
If you've already deleted it
Write to [email protected] with your order number and a short description of what happened. An installed eSIM isn't refundable and a deleted eSIM can't be reissued. If the problem is on our side we fix it in every case; deleting is something done on your phone, so it usually doesn't fall under that. We will still look into it, but we can't promise an outcome.
Frequently asked questions
I deleted my eSIM. Can I scan the same QR code again?
No. The installation code can be used once. A deleted eSIM can't be installed again with the same code.
If I turn the line off, do I lose my data or money?
No, turning it off doesn't delete your data. But the plan's clock keeps running.
I'm about to reset my phone. What should I do?
Write to [email protected] before you reset. A reset deletes the eSIM and it can't be brought back.
Can I use it on two phones?
No. Each eSIM is tied to one device. A second device needs its own plan.
